  3. SIMTEL20 allows only nine ANONYMOUS FTP logins during weekday prime
  4. time, 5am to 3pm Mountain Time (GMT-7), but 27 otherwise.

  6. SIMTEL20 files are also available by anonymous ftp from mirror sites
  7. OAK.Oakland.Edu (141.210.10.117), wuarchive.wustl.edu (128.252.135.4),
  8. archive.orst.edu (128.193.2.13), ftp.uu.net (137.39.1.9), nic.funet.fi
  9. (128.214.6.100), src.doc.ic.ac.uk (146.169.3.7), nic.switch.ch
  10. (130.59.1.40), archie.au (139.130.4.6), NCTUCCCA.edu.tw (140.111.3.21),
  11. by e-mail through the BITNET/EARN file servers, or by uucp from UUNET's

  14. OAK.Oakland.Edu is the primary mirror site for WSMR-SIMTEL20.Army.Mil.
  15. All other mirror sites (except wuarchive) and all LISTSERV and TRICKLE
  16. servers get their SIMTEL20 files from OAK instead of SIMTEL20 because
  17. it is much faster and allows more simultaneous ftp connections.  OAK is
  18. always "in sync" with SIMTEL20 because I maintain it, in addition to my
  19. duties at SIMTEL20.  I run OAK's mirror program whenever new files are
  20. added at SIMTEL20.

  22. If you cannot access them via FTP or e-mail, most SIMTEL20 MSDOS
  23. files, including the PC-Blue collection, are also available for
  24. downloading from Detroit Download Central (313) 885-3956.  DDC
  25. has multiple lines which support 300/1200/2400/9600/14400 bps
  26. (103/212/V22bis/HST/V32bis/V42bis/MNP).  This is a subscription system
  27. with an average hourly cost of 17 cents.  It is also accessable on
  28. Telenet via PC Pursuit and on Tymnet via StarLink outdial.  New files
  29. uploaded to SIMTEL20 are usually available on DDC within 24 hours.
